The Stunning BMW Z4 coupe seen at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor show was an extension of the Z4 range. The well adjusted lines of the coupe did justice to the original convertible Z4model on which the concept was based.
The Z4 coupe did not stay a concept for long as a production model began in 2006. A longitudinally mounted 3.0L straight-six engine developing 265 bhp powers the rear wheels of the coupe providing maximum driver enjoyment. This is a drivers car.
The 19 inch wheels BMW has displayed on the coupe are pushed to the very extremes of the car, like the convertible. The Z4 coupe also shares the multiple clashing style lines that create interesting shapes all over the cars body, from every angle new shadows and shapes are seen.
BMW designed the interior of the coupe to appear spacious and inviting, enhanced on this concept by the use of light coloured materials. The interior trim material of choice is aluminium for the racing feel, along with nubuck leather for luxury.
It is worth noting that both the BMW Z4 convertible and Porsche Boxster gained hard top siblings at the Frankfurt motor show (see Porsche Cayman), an indication of a growing market segment.
